About
I believe that while I bring the clinical expertise, you are the true expert on yourself. My practice is centred on the belief that therapy should move away from rigid formulas toward a path that is sustainable and authentic to your life. I am a curious person who is passionate about learning, and that translates into my practice; I will never take anything at face value and will work with you to understand the particularities of your experience of being you. Together, we work to bridge the gap between where you are and how you wish to live.
Experience & Approach
I graduated in Psychology in 2012 and have since focused my career on both clinical, institutional and organisational settings. As an immigrant psychologist born in Brazil, I have lived in the USA, England, and Italy before settling in the Netherlands.
While I have been personally shaped by these geographical changes, I do not lead my practice from my own history. I believe that every person’s experience is unique; my role is to explore the uniqueness of your own journey with you to understand how to shape a therapeutic approach that fits your specific needs.
My practice is constantly evolving. While my roots are in psychodynamic therapy, I remain active in academic circles and specialised training. This has led me to expand my initial approach to include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and contextual behaviour therapies such as DBT. I am also actively studying and researching the field of Neuropsychology in an academic environment; this allows me to understand the physiological basis of mental health structures while offering an evidence-based perspective that is tailored to the person in front of me.
Professional experience
Throughout my career, I have supported individuals in both private practice and institutional environments. My experience includes:
-
Specialised Clinical Support: Helping people navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, and social anxiety, as well as specialised work with those recovering from eating disorders. I make a point on making it very clear that I aim to provide a safe space, affirmative, respectful care for the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent individuals.
-
Life Transitions & Cultural Adaptation: Supporting the complexities of relocating and living between different cultures.
-
Organisational Development: Extensive experience leading international employee engagement, workplace culture, and D&I projects, including management roles in the Dutch bioscience sector and consulting for global firms.
I prioritise transparency in every step of our work. We will collaborate on the best strategy for your needs and reassess it as often as necessary to ensure we are on the right path. My role is to provide the space and the tools; your role is to bring your unique experience to the table.
